    Personal Data Processing Policy (GDPR)

    For the sale of goods, provision of digital licenses and operation of the website, we process personal data to the extent and under the conditions set out below.
    Personal data processing is governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR).

    I. Personal Data Processing

    A. Contact forms and enquiries

    If you contact us via a form, e-mail or telephone, we process:

    • first and last name
    • e-mail address
    • telephone number (if provided)
    • message content

    Purpose: To contact you and respond to your enquiry or request.
    Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – steps prior to entering into a contract at your request.
    Retention period: If no further cooperation is established, data is stored for a maximum of 1 year from the last communication.

    B. Purchase of goods

    When purchasing goods, we process:

    • first and last name
    • billing and delivery details
    • e-mail and phone number
    • order details
    • payment details (excluding card details)

    Purpose:

    • delivery of goods
    • order-related communication
    • handling complaints
    • fulfilment of legal obligations (accounting, tax)

    Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of a contract and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR – compliance with a legal obligation.
    Retention period: For the duration of the contract. Accounting documents: 10 years. Other data: 10 years from order completion.

    C. Digital licenses and activation

    When purchasing and using digital licenses, we process:

    • license identification
    • activation data (e.g. device serial numbers)
    • technical data required for license verification
    • activation history

    License nature: Digital licenses are provided as lifetime licenses. Trial versions are available for testing and do not require activation data or device identifiers.

    We retain certain technical data long-term in order to:

    • re-verify activation
    • enable license reinstallation
    • provide support and compatibility
    • maintain an audit trail

    Legal basis: Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
    Retention period: For the duration of the license and 3 years after its termination.

    D. User account

    If you create a customer account, we process:

    • registration details
    • order history
    • license data (if purchased)

    Retention period: Until account deletion by the user, then up to 1 year.

    E. Customer support

    We process communication in tickets, e-mails, phone calls and technical data related to licenses or goods.

    Retention period: Maximum 2 years from the last communication.

    F. Newsletters (commercial communications)

    If you are our customer and have not opted out, we may send you information about news and offers.

    Legal basis: Section 7(3) of Act No. 480/2004 Coll.
    Retention period: 3 years from the last purchase or until unsubscribed. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in the e-mail or by contacting: info@smarthomeenergy.cz

    II. Recipients of personal data

    Your personal data is processed only by verified partners. Data is processed exclusively within the European Union.

    • E-shop operation: Shoptet a.s.
    • Logistics: Zásilkovna, PPL, DPD, Czech Post (according to selected carrier)
    • Payments: Shoptet Pay / GoPay / ComGate (according to configuration)
    • E-mailing and support: E-mailing tools (e.g. Shoptet, EcoMail), hosting providers, external IT support
    • Accounting and legal services: Accounting firms, legal representatives (only for claim enforcement)

    III. Additional information

    We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer.
    We do not perform automated decision-making or profiling.
