QA DHW Boiler 2 Heating Elements 6SSR
Smart control of hot water heating for combined tanks with low-temperature sources that controls up to 2 heating elements and 6 spirals in one tank and smoothly controls power according to temperature and available PV surpluses. Maximum savings, quick reheating and efficient use of every phase — everything fully automated.

🚿☀️ QA Boiler DHW 2 heating elements (6x SSR)
QA Boiler DHW 2 heating elements is a comprehensive application for controlling electric heating of hot water in large-capacity storage tanks. It is specifically designed for tanks equipped with two heating elements (upper and lower) and allows smooth power control up to 6 SSR relays.
The application intelligently combines user comfort assurance with maximum energy savings from photovoltaics (PV) or the spot market. It is ideal for hybrid systems combining photovoltaics with solar thermal collectors, heat pumps, or other low-temperature sources.
This module is part of the SHE (Smart Home & Energy).
💼 Business Presentation
Transform your boiler into a smart battery. Maximize the use of your own energy.
This application solves a common dilemma: how to always have plenty of hot water while not wasting expensive grid electricity when tomorrow will have sunshine? The system automatically distributes power between the upper coil (quick comfort) and lower coil (large energy accumulation).
With weather prediction and smart planning, you save costs and utilize your water tank at 100%.

⚠️ Note
To fully utilize continuous control capabilities, the use of semiconductor relays (SSR) and the EX01PV module or equivalent PWM control outputs is recommended. The application supports control up to 3 phases for each of the two heating elements (6 circuits total).
⚙️ Key Features
✅ Advanced management of two heating elements
- Upper element (Comfort): Serves for quick reheating of water to the desired consumption temperature. It has priority to ensure the user never lacks hot water.
- Lower element (Accumulation): Serves to store energy surpluses (PV/Spot). Heats the entire tank volume.
- Smart source synergy: The application decides based on weather forecast. If solar collector output (thermal) is expected, it blocks electric heating of the lower part to allow room for the sun. If there is insufficient heat from collectors (e.g., cold weather), it uses PV for lower part heating.
- Continuous power control: "Watt-by-watt" regulation for maximum utilization of even small PV surpluses without grid purchases.
- Spot price integration: Integrates with spot control application, which plans tank heating during the cheapest hours of the day.
✨ Typical Use Cases
- Combined accumulation tanks with low-temperature sources with two heating elements.
- Family homes with photovoltaics and thermal solar panels (system knows when to prioritize which source).
- Provoz bez termiky, dostatek FVE: Solární kolektory nestíhají -> FVE přebytky ohřívají i spodek nádrže.
- Summer operation: PV heats the top with priority, lower part is left for thermal collectors (to prevent system stagnation).
🚨 DHW Alarm Notification
The application allows setting alarm notification when the set hot water (DHW) temperature is exceeded. When the alarm value is reached, the system automatically notifies selected users.
- Exceeding the set DHW alarm temperature
- 📧 Email notification according to the selected user
- 📲 Push notification to mobile or other end device
🔌 Operating Conditions
- 2 heating elements installed in one tank.
- 3x temperature sensor (Upper, Middle, Lower) for precise temperature stratification.
- Up to 6x SSR switching element for smooth regulation.
- Integration with application QA DHW Mode (determines target temperatures and times).
- Hardware for smart control (e.g., EX01PV module).
🧰 Settings and Configuration
- Ability to set temperature for 3 temperature bands.
- Modes: Fixed temperature (Comfort) / Cheap energy (Eco/Spot).
- Automatic detection of sufficient upper part heating and subsequent power overflow to the lower part.
- Configurable phase priorities for inverter load optimization.
