🔌 Connection and Required Accessories
For connection to the Wattsonic GEN3 inverter, two connection methods are supported depending on how the inverter can be connected to your home network.
1️⃣ Connection via Local Network (Modbus TCP)
If the inverter has a LAN module or newer Wi-Fi/LAN module, it can be connected directly to your home network. In this mode, communication is via Modbus TCP and no converter or RS485 cable connection is required.
Condition: The inverter and control unit must be connected to the same local network.
2️⃣ Cable Connection (RS485 → Modbus TCP)
This is used when the inverter does not have a Wi-Fi/LAN module or cannot be connected via the local network. In this case, it is necessary to connect the inverter via RS485 cable and convert it to Modbus TCP communication using a converter.
