HC3L + 3F DHW – Smart Water Heating
Intelligent system for smooth three-phase water heating (up to 6.6 kW) and intelligent control of inverter and battery. Efficiently harvests FVE surpluses, protects the battery in winter and through HDO integration and irradiance forecast ensures maximum energy savings.

⚡🔌 HC3L + 3F TUV – Smart Water Heating
HC3L + 3F TUV is a comprehensive system for intelligent management of a photovoltaic power plant with a focus on efficient three-phase water heating up to 6.6 kW .
The assembly combines the power of the Fibaro HC3L control unit and the precise control capabilities of the EX.01 module for smooth harvesting of PV surpluses .
With support for HDO and advanced logic, it ensures maximum energy self-sufficiency and household savings.
💼 Commercial presentation
Ideal solution for consumption optimization in small and medium-sized installations, where maximizing the use of self-generated energy is a priority .
The system can continuously regulate heater output across 0–100 %, precisely mirroring current production and preventing unwanted overflows to the grid .
A unique feature is Battery Maintenance Mode, which automatically cares for the lifespan and performance of your battery storage during winter .
The assembly can also operate in zero-feed mode, which is critical for users who do not yet have a grid connection permit from the distributor.
🧠 Master system and communication
The heart of the entire system is the Fibaro Home Center 3 Lite (HC3L) control unit .
The unit communicates with the inverter primarily via Modbus TCP protocol and is standard connected via Wi-Fi .
Through integration of PV forecast (solar irradiance predictions), the system can intelligently plan water heating and energy management based on expected weather conditions.
🧩 Software suite (Package contents)
The assembly includes complete software equipment (Quick Apps) for immediate operation:
- QA Inverter: Provides comprehensive real-time monitoring of energy flows and serves as a tool for active management of inverter operating modes and battery storage.
- QA EMS: Represents central logic for dynamic energy balance management of the property, which intelligently prioritizes the use of PV surpluses among individual devices to achieve maximum energy self-sufficiency.
- QA Boiler: Provides intelligent management of water heating in tanks using continuous or switched control, effectively combining PV surpluses and time schedules to achieve maximum savings and thermal comfort.
- Solar irradiance forecast: QA PV Forecast (without annual fees) – can be extended with the paid version Solcast (quality and data availability guarantee).
- Optional: Possibility to purchase the TUV Mode application for advanced time scheduling of heating according to family needs.
- Optional: HDO Logic: QA HDO provides intelligent management and visualization of low tariff signals, allowing automatic switching of demanding devices to achieve maximum comfort and savings.
