QA Vehicle Integration (OBD2 WiCAN) reads the current battery state of charge (SOC) of Your car via an OBD2 adapter and passes it to the SHE system for automatic charging planning. After connecting the car to the wallbox, You do not need to enter the current state of charge manually — the system knows it and plans charging according to Your set plan.

QA Vehicle Integration (OBD2 WiCAN) is an application for reading the current battery state of charge of a car via an OBD2 adapter and transferring it to the SHE system for automatic charging planning. It reads the values directly from the vehicle, without manufacturer cloud accounts.

Plug the OBD2 adapter into the car and the SHE system knows the current battery state of charge by itself. After connecting the car to the wallbox, You do not need to enter the current state of charge — everything is handled by the Charging Planner, which charges only what is missing, according to Your set plan. It cooperates with the other applications in the SHE system, ensuring unified optimal control.
📡 Reading values from the vehicle
The application reads the car's information via the OBD2 adapter whenever the adapter is connected to the data network and the car's CAN bus is active — regularly with the ignition on and while charging.

🧩 Role in the SHE system
The application is the entry point for controlling vehicle charging. It passes the read values to the QA Wallbox SPOT Planner application, which uses them to plan and control charging:

- Only for compatible car brands
- Some brands evaluate an OBD2 adapter plugged in after locking the vehicle as an alarm; some brands allow alarm evaluation on the OBD2 port to be switched off
