QA Vehicle Integration (Home Assistant)
QA Vehicle Integration (Home Assistant) reads the basic values of Your electric vehicle from your own Home Assistant installation and passes them to the SHE system. The system then knows the current battery state of charge (SOC), the charging limit and the connection status, and uses them to plan charging automatically. The entry point for smart EV charging from photovoltaic surpluses.

🚗🔌 QA Vehicle Integration (Home Assistant)
QA Vehicle Integration (Home Assistant) is an application for reading the basic values of a vehicle from Your own Home Assistant installation and transferring them to the SHE system. If You have a vehicle integrated in Home Assistant whose charging You want to control with the SHE system, the application transfers the vehicle's key values into charging planning.
The system then automatically works with the current battery state of charge (SOC) and plans charging according to Your request. It is not necessary to integrate all values – the essential value is the current battery state of charge (SOC), the other values are optional depending on what Your integration in Home Assistant provides.
💼 Business presentation
The application connects Your electric vehicle with the smart energy management system. The vehicle status You have in Home Assistant is transferred to SHE, and You no longer have to manually enter how much the car is charged or whether it is plugged in. The Charging Scheduler takes care of the rest, using the values to charge at the right time – typically from photovoltaic surpluses.
🧩 Role in the SHE system
The application is the entry point for EV charging control in combination with spot-price control. It passes the read values to QA Wallbox SPOT Planner, which plans and controls charging based on them:
Home Assistant (integrated vehicle) → QA Vehicle Integration (Home Assistant) → QA Wallbox SPOT Planner
📥 Transferred values
- Battery state of charge SOC — current vehicle battery charge (%)
- Battery SOC Max — set charging limit (%)
- Vehicle battery capacity — capacity in kWh
- Connection status (EV Plug) — plugged in / unplugged
- Charging status — charging in progress
- Position / Home — vehicle location (home / away)
- Update time — when the values were last read
Transferring individual values is optional – only those available in Home Assistant are integrated. The minimum required is the current battery state of charge (SOC).
📊 Analysis and working with data
For clear visualisation, working with measurement history and charts, we recommend connecting SCADA Mervis.
