QA Vehicle Integration (MyŠkoda API) is an application for reading the values of a Škoda electric vehicle connected to the MyŠkoda cloud, needed for charging, from the MyŠkoda Public API and transferring them to the SHE system for automatic charging planning. After enabling reading in the MyŠkoda app and entering the VIN and API key, the application starts reading the online data provided by the data provider. The system uses them for precise charging planning.

💼 Business presentation

You do not need to install anything in the car or run Your own server. Create an API key in the MyŠkoda app, enter it together with the VIN into the application, and the SHE system automatically obtains the state of Your car. After connecting the car to the wallbox, You do not need to enter the current state of charge — everything is handled by the Charging Planner, which charges only what is missing, according to Your set plan. It cooperates with the other applications in the SHE system, ensuring unified optimal control.

☁️ Reading values from the MyŠkoda Public API

The MyŠkoda Public API lets third-party applications read connected Škoda vehicle data — for example to connect the car to a smart-home platform. Among other things it provides:

• charging data and charging profiles (saved charging locations),
• vehicle position (parking position).

The data available depends on what the specific vehicle supports. Every request requires an API key, which You create and manage in the MyŠkoda app (Manage API keys). The application also clearly shows the communication status — request limit and remaining requests, limit reset time and API key expiry.

• Battery SOC — current vehicle battery state of charge (%)
• Battery SOC Max — set charging limit (%)
• Vehicle battery capacity — capacity in kWh
• Plug status — connected / disconnected
• Charging status and vehicle state (e.g. charging interrupted)
• Charging type
• Home position — whether the vehicle is at home
• EV update — time of the last update of the vehicle values

🔔 Notifications

The application can send e-mail and push notifications to selected users and devices at a set interval (e.g. 1 hour). Notifications are switched on and off with a single button.

🧩 Role in the SHE system

The application is the entry point for controlling vehicle charging. It passes the read values to the QA Wallbox SPOT Planner application, which uses them to plan and control charging:

Škoda vehicle (MyŠkoda Public API) → QA Vehicle Integration (MyŠkoda API) → QA Wallbox SPOT Planner

Alternatives for other vehicles: QA Vehicle Integration (Home Assistant) and QA Vehicle Integration (OBD2 WiCAN).
